Sleep safety

This weeks question

I seem to keep injuring myself in my sleep - what can I do?

My answerSleeping positions are one of the hardest things to change because let's face it, once you fall asleep your body will generally do what it wants. However, being in a "bad" or overextended position while sleeping can pose a big issue, especially if it's happening every night.

A few options you have here - my first go to is to build a "pillow fort" to prevent you from moving into the unwanted position. Who doesn't love a pillow fort? Also this is a great way to gently remind your body what positions not to go in.

The next option would be bracing. While bracing can be restrictive at times, while sleeping it can help to stabilize the joint, as long as it doesn't prevent you from getting rest.
